ボールリグの本質は、その太くて美しいラインにある。一見してどこにでもあるデザインだけれど、よくみると、複雑できれいなデザインを知ることになる。
ダウンステムを最後まで通過する内側のボールは、ほぼ完全なる球体で、外のボールの中で、浮いたように見ることができる。驚くほどにいい働きをするスプラッシュガードは、ちょうどよく水を還元したり、水量を減らしたりしてくれる。
ガラス吹きと溶接技術においてはさまざまな耐性をあらゆる方向から用いているので、できあがりの芸術性やそのガラス製作の材料もさることながら、とてもユニークな仕上がりになっているのがわかるだろう。
　ボールリグを乗り物としよう。この旅行はマザーシップのメスのジョイントから始まる。ダウンステムを通過し、すべてのピースを３３度の角度で旅をする。そしてループ回転し、７２の穴から落ち花のように落下するのだ。
たくさんのこまかい泡は、内部のボールの中心へ向かっているが、これは、パーコレーションと水の跳ね返りを減らす両方の効果がある。
内部のボール形が球状になっているのには理由がある。水がパーコレーションの方に下がる前に、ボールの上のほうでより細かく泡になるようにしむけているのだ。
ボールリグはしっかりと安定した台座の上に置かれている。その台座の厚さは１５ミリにもなる。我々のロゴはその厚みのある基盤の下に深く刻まれている。

The essence of the Ball Rig is conveyed through its bold, clean lines. It may appear basic at first, but the deeper one looks, the more he or she will appreciate its complex, yet clean design. The inner sphere, or “ball”, which the downstem penetrates through, is almost perfectly round, seemingly floating inside the outer ball. Acting as an amazing splashguard, as well as water redirector and volume reducer. While incorporating many different tolerances, as well as various scientific glassblowing techniques and welds, along with state of the art tools and materials, the Ball Rig’s function proves to be equally as unique as its appearance.
The journey through the Ball Rig starts with the custom tooled Mothership female joint, braced to the outer shell. The downstem then travels at a ~33 degree angle through the entire piece, until it loops around the back and into the 72 hole, or petal, Flower of Life perc. This sends diffused bubbles rushing straight towards the base of the internal ball, having both percolation and splash reduction effects. The roundness of the internal ball invites the water to follow its form up and around the top of the sphere, before rolling down the ball back to the percolation chamber below. The Ball Rig sits atop a firm foundation of a base, often times reaching 15mm in thickness. The Mothership logo is deeply etched into the underside of base and neck.
